Booking Conditions

  • The Perch is not suitable for children under the age of 12
  • This is a non-smoking property
  • No pets are allowed
  • No feeding of wildlife
  • At the moment, Flinders Island is a low-risk region for exposure to the Covid-19 virus, but we also want to make sure any visitors to the Island do not bring it in or pass it on to residents on the Island, so are only accepting guests who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  • Please be aware that we have a minimum stay of 4 nights
  • It is advisable to check flights and car hire availability before booking
  • If The Perch does not meet your needs we recommend you check the other great places on the island at the Visit Flinders Island Site

Payment

  • To confirm a booking we do require a deposit of 25% of the total fee (by bank transfer at time of booking).
  • Final payment 1 month before stay.
  • Payment details will be provided at time of booking with our COVID-19 Cancellation Policy.
  • Arrival and departure details must be supplied no later than seven days prior to arrival.

Variations or Cancellations

We have a cancellation policy that allows guests to cancel their stay and not be penalised if 1) they have COVID-19, need to isolate, and cannot come to the Island, or 2) are stopped by the authorities from coming at Essendon, Hobart, Launceston or Flinders Island Airports.

Importantly Note: If in the unlikely situation where we must accommodate a person with COVID-19, we may need to arrange other accommodation for you, as an incoming guest. Under this scenario we will be in contact with you to determine what we can do, and any refund on your accommodation. We are not responsible for any transport costs.

Time permitting, variations to your booking may be possible depending on other bookings.

If cancellation occurs:

  • beyond 28 days of booking date a full refund will be made
  • 14-28 days of booking date, a 50% refund will be made
  • 7-14 days of booking date, any refund* will be dependent on the re booking of the property.
  • * A cancellation fee of $40 will apply.

Guest Code of Conduct

  • No feeding of wildlife!
  • Guests at The Perch must at all times behave in a way that is not anti-social or disruptive to the Islanders in any way
  • Guests must leave the property in an acceptable condition, which includes disposing of rubbish in the bins provided
